In no particular order

So whats-a-bin-happenin'. Saturday night saw us off to The Magic Theatre in deepest darkest sarf Lundun innit. A slightly lower attendance than usual but a good sized crowd. I do wish the DJ was better and knew at least something about sound levels. Nothing sounds good when its so high you get distortion and I suppose they think its the average age of the punters but old cheesy pop is not my thing. The band were good once they had warmed up and yes I did like their style of music. With the odd exception the costumes were below par, it really is amazing how some people think they look good in a mish mash of tat.
Our journey there was, shall we say, fraught. Roadworks and closures made our through London 13 mile journey take two hours and the journey home via a different route, well past midnight, take over an hour as we got caught up in the traffic mahem caused by the Lambeth illegal rave that saw us stationary as seven police riot vans went sailing past. All in all we got to bed about 3.00 a.m.

Sunday was London Alternative Market day, so after three and a half hours sleep I was up and about, just. Suprise of the day, although I didn't know it at the time was two totally delightful maids. One trans and one female. After complimenting them they told me that they had them made and were considering getting more done and selling them but were unsure of their market and pricing. The next day I saw, on Farcebook a picture of the two outfits on mannequins, they had been made by a friend Andy of Stichin' Business, what a coincidence !
Chatting with David, who runs the market he asked if I had been shopping recently which begged me to say, why? Apparently he had people phoning him from America asking why I hadn't been posting about my shopping trips on Farcebook and how only David could know anyone called Ann Drogyny! So not only London fame but international fame!

Oh yes in a previous post I said I'd got new boots.......

Another week another....

Another week goes by and another birthday... mine ! A new Phase Eight frock which to be honest I got to wear before my birthday at the last Magic Theatre, a new necklace, bangles, a new camera bag that doesn't scream camera bag and a new latex outfit !

So off we trot Saturday afternoon to Dolenta and Breathless to collect the new latex outfit. Madame, son and I (in male mode). As we arrive on the overground platform I espy the nutter who once he spots us follows us down the platform. I am unaware as I have my back to him until I hear his mumblings. It seems he objects to my appearance. We are not sure whether he has a 'problem' or is pissed or both. Aaaaanyway he is ignored and our train comes and on he gets and proceeds to sit with us continuing his disapproval for 15 minutes. We arrive at St Pancras and get off and so does he although he has no idea of where he is. Owing to his condition he has no chance of keeping up with us so we leave him to his ramblings although the son does make station staff aware of him in case there is further problems. Just as well I wasn't 'dressed' but then again I would not have gone that way if I had been.

We arrive at Dolenta's shop and I try on the outfit, perfect and we get on with the serious subject of gossiping. It is now about 6.30 so I say to madame that's it is a bit late to go home and cook so why don't we eat out. Mmmm unbeknown to me there is a plan afoot. Beans spilt we shut the shop and are off to a Tapas place just off the Pentonville road Camino and very nice it was, even including the mass rendition of happy birthday.

Exhausting

My goodness this retirement malarky is exhausting !! Off out Friday night to our friend Marnie Scarlet's 40th birthday party at the Resistance Gallery and get to bed gone 2.00am. Fabulous to catch up with people we hadn't seen in more than ages.
Saturday is a foray into the deepest darkest recesses of South London to The Magic Theatre at the wonderfully kitch Rivoli Ballroom. We leave there gone midnight which of course coincides with the clocks changing so is now 1.00 am. I drop madame off in Camden Town at what is now 2.00 am to meet up with our daughter and they disappear into the Black Cap and get in at around 6.00 am.
Sunday sees us off out again for a mothers day lunch at the Black Cap and their "Dragged up by your mother" event. madame, daughter and I get a free makeup session and eventually get in around 7.00.
Off out again with Stephanie and Sara today, a visit to the British Museum and a wander. Nothing more for a few days, thank goodness, just a trip to the Tower of London on Friday with Claire and Conrad. Well it will only be the second time I have ever been there. Then its off out again on Sunday, its the London Alternative Market.

Hectic

So a hectic weekend in prospect. Friday sees us off to a friends 40th at the Resistance Gallery, private event of course. Saturday sees us off again, this time the Magic Theatre at the delightfully kitch Rivoli Ballroom, then Sunday lunch at the Black Cap in Camden for this. I thought retirement would be a time of rest...

At madame's behest we troop off to Boots, supposedly there is this new facecream, made by many all with the name, BB cream. Aaaanyway you apply it after cleansing and other potions and it can also be worn under makeup. Its like a face cream but with a touch of foundation. Well I purchase a couple of tubes seeing as this version was on a half price offer. Well it seems to work and I get to wear makeup everyday ;-)
Last week we paid a visit to Selfridges and had breakfast in Aubaine. Not cheap but no that expensive.....

So the undocumented purchases... These two came from Lipsy

The denim shorts from Next, roll on Las Palamas.

The skirt from Primarni

The swimsuit from M&S and the socks from Selfridges

The spotty frock from Forever 21

And nice to see these two fit even better than last year.

A few days

Well a few days have slipped by, two photo sessions in the week, more stuff tried on etc and yes they all fit. In total nine corsets have been dispatched to D of Second Coming to be sold on as they are too big for both of us.
Session 1

Session 2

Aaaaanyway, Saturday is a night out at the Magic Theatre in far flung Brockley for their Halloween event. We leave in what we think is plenty of time. The AA reckons three quarters of an hour, hmmmmm. Well at least an hour and a half later we arrive, thankfully we manage to park quite close. The delay was an accident at Russell Square :-(.
We meet up with the lovely Penny and Natacha and admire the eye candy. Of course Magic Theatre events are a bit of a tranny magnet and some rather lush ladies are there. The first 'act' is a bit, well to be honest not that good and I wonder if they are paying the venue to be there more than the other way round. The band are rather good once they have warmed up and a good time is had by all. We take our leave not long after the band finish as the DJ has turned the volume up a tad too far. Now don't get me wrong I like my music loud but this was rather strident and verging on the painful, there is a world of difference between good quality loud and as this was bad quality loud. So we arrive home around 1.00 and sad people we are sit down to watch Strictly Come Dancing and all those wonderful frocks.
Stephanie came over Monday, loads of pictures taken in the A.M. then a visit to Brent Cross, it is of course half-term round our way and the place is rather busy. Today we take ourselves off to Westfield at White City. We much prefer it to Stratford, less crowded, more airy and a better class of shop. We spend a rather nice few hours window shopping.

Moving

Well the cupboard got moved a smidgeon and one wall got tiled. I think I'll have a day of rest today and start de-tiling tomorrow, not something I'm looking forward to.
So if its day off today I think a shower and total shave is in order as is dressing up. Time for the woman in me to appear.

We should have gone out last night, the irregular Magic Theatre in deepest darkest Brockley at the totally kitsch Rivoli Ballroom but with madame not being well again and moi not exactly filled with joy at the prospect of trolling all that way I didn't go either. So I elected to finish off the bit of tiling instead. I'd rather have a day of Ann than just a few hours plus of course I'd rather wait until I can show off a more slender me, patience is after all a virtue, not that I could be called virtuous.
