The remains of the days

Saturday sees Stephanie and I out and about. Off we set to the British Museum and surprisingly enough we find loads we have never seen before ! Poor Stephanie is suffering with a pan in her lower back and the remains of flu/cold. We take lunch around the corner in Museum Street in Pizza Express where I am semi-good diet wise and elect for lasagne verde mind you it was not helped by vast amounts of parmesan cheese and the bechemel sauce !
Post lunch its off to Primark where nothing but nothing tickles our collective fancy so we hop a bus homeward up to Selfridges and dive into the denim studio of the third floor where Stephanie buys herself a pair of jeans then its home for dinner.
Sunday is another photo day, its corset time. Luckily everything goes to plan and fourteen corsets later I have almost exhausted what should fit. The 30 inch waist ones all shut and are a trifle on the slack side. They fit but not as tight as I like them, that is breathless tight and the 28 inch ones are not that good around the rib cage damn those ribs :-(

So today its off out again to Oxford St. A quick trawl of Primark and a discussion with madame, which bra should I buy myself? Yes I'm that lucky, I can not only buy my own clothes but I get advice too ! Luck remains on my side when post Pret breakfast we visit Elliot Rhodes shop to get madame's four belts shortened I find madames xmas present, a new buckle so that is that done !

A new one

Well my lovelies heartily sick as I am with the way Flickr have, as they put it 'enhanced your experience' or as I say mucked about and ruined their layout and way of working I may, just may, move my loyalties to ipernity.com. I've set up an account with a minimum of content just to see what happens.
Of course there does not appear to be much content yet from our community but we shall see what we shall see. If enough of us publicise our moving then perhaps others will follow. Ever the pessimistic optimist I get the feeling that many groups on Flickr are not actually being run by anyone, more that those who set them up are long gone but have never deleted their accounts.
Ipernity does seem like the 'old, old' Flickr that is the incarnation before the last changes let alone the current ones. Let us hope they do not feel the urge to follow in Flickr's footsteps.
Of course I shall now have to update my own website which initially will be a pain. I haven't updated it, apart from the Berlin trip, in the last six months. Well it all takes so much effort and there are better things to do especially now we might be getting some descent weather. Now that statement might actually make me a optimistic pessimist.

Ah the best laid plans of mice and trannies, a rethink of outfit was required and the Ted Baker got its first outing.

So we leave home around 8.45 on our way to the Way Out club in the Minories. What is it with these Olympic Lanes? We turn into the Euston Road at Euston Station to turn right at Upper Woburn Place and notice that when these lanes are in force... you won't be able to, great, NOT. So we get to between Theobald's Road and High Holborn and notice there is a bus lane and an Olympic Lane which means......... there is no lane for any other traffic, that's clever. So it will be left into Theobald's Road, right into Proctor Street, right into High Holborn and left into the Kingsway. As we go down the Kingsway there are big roadworks. Oh they are making the underpass between Waterloo Bridge and the Kingsway.... flow the other way, good grief the expense !

Aaaanyay I digress, easy peasy parking for once when we arrive, a couple of minutes walk and we are there. Venue looks quite nice, we enter and are greeted by Vicky Lee who runs the club, get our free champoo and descend into the club proper. Of course the disasvantage of being rather early is it can be a trifle lonely but on the upside we get prime seats! The place gradually fills and we see a few familiar faces. We manage to meet up with my son and his wife who unbeknown to us have had us placed where we belong.... on the guest list! We decide to take our leave around 2.15 and make our weary way home.....

Did we enjoy it? Oh yes and we will definitely be back.
