Two days of out and about with Stephanie. Sunday sees us off to Tate Britain somewhere I had not been for a while. The last time they were part way through the refurbishment so it was much improved. A thoroughly enjoyable few hours were spent wandering although we did think that it should be renamed the J M W Turner appreciation society. Of course I know that they are the recipients of the Turner bequest but it is Turner overload and I am not THAT much of a fan especially of his later works. Thankfully there are many others examples to take our attention. Art philistine I may be but many examples of modern art leave me cold. Aaaanyway after much wandering hunger drives us forth into the cold and drafty Millbank and into Pizza Express.
We walk to Parliament Square and do a few pictures then hop a bus up to Oxford Street and Selfridges. Stephanie wants to buy some upmarket makeup! In we go only to have to join a queue for the ladies, why oh why does it take women sooo long! One of the very few advantages of maleness, in, out and away LOL. Aaaaanyway we make our way to Chanel and a lovely young lady helps Stephanie, she tries a few different lipsticks on her and she buys two plus a lipliner and brush and we exit Stephanie quite a bit poorer but a very happy lady. Its then time for home and dinner.
Monday is photo day and thence a trip to Brent Cross. As we are both a tad poor its just a wander although we are severely tempted by items in Lipsy. I have to take Stephanie home as madame and I are out to dinner that night.
Ah the delights of the Holloway Road, we manage to park and walk to the restaurant, a Thai establishment which it turns out is rather nice, everything freshly cooked. Its the daughter-in-laws birthday so there is quite a crowd of us, sixteen in all so the staff are well pleased so many on a Monday night, I bet he has never had so many people.

The remains of the days
Saturday sees Stephanie and I out and about. Off we set to the British Museum and surprisingly enough we find loads we have never seen before ! Poor Stephanie is suffering with a pan in her lower back and the remains of flu/cold. We take lunch around the corner in Museum Street in Pizza Express where I am semi-good diet wise and elect for lasagne verde mind you it was not helped by vast amounts of parmesan cheese and the bechemel sauce !
Post lunch its off to Primark where nothing but nothing tickles our collective fancy so we hop a bus homeward up to Selfridges and dive into the denim studio of the third floor where Stephanie buys herself a pair of jeans then its home for dinner.
Sunday is another photo day, its corset time. Luckily everything goes to plan and fourteen corsets later I have almost exhausted what should fit. The 30 inch waist ones all shut and are a trifle on the slack side. They fit but not as tight as I like them, that is breathless tight and the 28 inch ones are not that good around the rib cage damn those ribs :-(

So today its off out again to Oxford St. A quick trawl of Primark and a discussion with madame, which bra should I buy myself? Yes I'm that lucky, I can not only buy my own clothes but I get advice too ! Luck remains on my side when post Pret breakfast we visit Elliot Rhodes shop to get madame's four belts shortened I find madames xmas present, a new buckle so that is that done !

Off out
Off out with Stephanie today, a visit to the V&A. A coffee and share a bun in their cafeteria which surprisingly was not as expensive as I thought and their food looked as delicious as it was reasonable. My biggest error was confusing the V&A with the British Museum when searching for some exhibits LOL Still as Stephanie said, British Museum next week. After our stroll round it off for lunch at Pizza Express in Beauchamp Place and very nice too and oh the shops, the frocks. Post lunch we take a stroll around Harrods, oh my days, the jewellery, the shoes, the Gina shoes especially these ones and as for those Dior boots with the embroidery. Rather underwhelmed by Jimmy Choo but then I always am and surprisingly the same by Christian Lamboutin. There was sooo much and as for that red fur coat at £11,800 ! To get ourselves back to earth we went home........ by bus LOL
Photo day tomorrow with the lovely Claire with Mamselle Maz for Prong Jewellery.

A pheonix rises
A trip to the new and as yet unopened Breathless shop yesterday. Madam and I went down by tube and met up with Dolenta and Andy in midst of decorating what appears to be a far better laid out shop. Soon madam, Andy and I have left them to it and wander into the gentrified part of Kings Cross. Gone are the gasometers and redone roads and buildings sparkle in the sunshine.

Of course its all rather trendy and thereby expensive. We meet up with Andy's cousin Stephanie and wander back to the shop for a chat before crossing the road into a time warp. An old fashioned pub, an Irish pub with hurling on the telly, well multiple tellies. Oh dear, I do not exactly fit in with the locals but they are friendly :-) A little drinkie and off to find something to eat. Poor Andy is starving. We wander up to the Euston Road and into yet another dive of a pub, The Rocket. Poor starving Andy, everything he chooses from the menu is... off, tee hee. Food eaten we return to the shop and take our leave. Stephanie has retired to the pub opposite so in we go to say our goodbyes and most of the lunchtime customers are still there at 6.30.
Today is T-girl Stephanie day, off to Camden. A wander round the stalls and shops in the markets then down the high street, we get to Camden Station and then its up Parkway to Pizza Express for lunch so I can more or less keep to the diet. Post lunch we return to the high street and pop into the Oxford Arms for a drink. We return to the market via the Canal and over the bridge by the Ice Wharf. Another wander and then its homeward bound.

Not quite tea at the Ritz
A day out with Stephanie. We get the bus to Oxford Street and change to another route that takes us to The Strand, through the back streets to Charles Fox. Supplies purchased we stroll through Covent Garden and take an early lunch at Pizza Express in Bow Street. Sufficiently stuffed we continue our stroll to Seven dials and into Mercer Street where Stephanie buys a pair of shoes in Poste Mistress and some concealer in Screen Face then we stroll into Soho, along Brewer Street to Regent Street on then into Bond Street. We take a look around Fenwicks who have some amazing hats and frocks. We cross and go down Conduit Street for a look round Vivienne Westwood then into Bruton Street. By now the sun is really hot and we need liquid refeshment. Where to go? I know let's push the boat out as far as it can go, Claridges. Oh yes we do. In we go and are directed to the cocktail bar and a totally delish Blood and sans Alcohol. A very pleasant hour passed we make our way home. Well if you are going to do it, do it in style.
