Well that was an enjoyable party. Off to the wilds of Southgate on Saturday to Max's Mid-Summer (Minus one week) Party, still awaiting pictures). Although we didn't stay to the end seeing as it was supposed to start at 2.00pm Saturday and finish at 5.00 pm Sunday, which it did. Fabulous to catch up with old friends, some surprise guests and making some new ones including the lovely Fredericka, yum and her fabulous fur hat. A trans girl at the party seemed quite shocked when I said I had never been to Doreens over at Walthamstow. An emporium, supposedly for the trans community although from what I've seen and heard its a bit tawdry. Quite the place if you want to look like a tranny or haven't the courage to get your clothes etc from 'proper' shops.
Photo session yesterday. I do like to get these things prepared, get the outfits out rather than scratch around looking for things but somehow there are still things I've got out for the last three shoots that I haven't got around to wearing, probably got something to do with adding new items.

Fabulous surprise yesterday when madame came home with a present... a Lulu Guinness handbag

Off out on Thursday with Stephanie and Sarah, a real girlie day out... RAF Duxford. Should be interesting in more ways than one ;-)

Xmas

So here we are post New Year. Xmas and its latter celebrations were exhausting. The wind up to Christmas was not too bad as we food shopped early in the day to avoid the pushing and shoving. A mere ten to lunch xmas day so the turkey got cooked xmas eve. Madame and I opened our presents prior to any arrivals....

Plus an Elliot Rhodes belt and Ted Baker handbag!

Lunch and washing up out of the way and it was time to get the glad rags on and off just out of London to a friends, just nine of us in all. Silly games ensued and much naughty food was consumed.

Got home around 10 am Boxing day morning and straight into lunch preparations for twelve today! With that out of the way the daughter decided that the flu symptoms had got too bad and up the hospital madame went. Luckily they saw her quickly and sent her home with antibiotics and within two or three days she had recovered.

Met up with an ex work colleague during the week for lunch so much gossiping and merriment ensued. A couple of visits to Brent Cross one of which resulted in finding a bargain in Lipsy. As an aquaintance once said... I love Lipsy but would it love me back? Well this one does......

New Years eve brought a nice surprise. All prepared for a quiet night in a late afternoon text from a friend resulted in a trip out to Dolenta's and saw us getting home at 10am New Years Day. I had no sleep at all, 30 hours of it. Peter and Sarah were there, Dolenta got Peter plastered and he went to bed at about 12.30 am in the bed we were to use. Sarah moved him to Dolenta's bed. Dolenta then went to her own bed about 3 am with Peter in it then unbeknown to us he went to the loo and got back into the original bed but he didn't know that madame was in it ! We only found that when Andy went to go to bed about 4.00. Sara and I were going to have the double lilo but decided that 2 or three hours sleep was going to do more harm than good so sat up and chatted and did the washing up !

Not content with all this gadding about the day after New Years Day we are off out again to see friends. More very naughty food and convivial chats sees us in bed at 1.30 am ! My goodness we need a holiday to get some rest.

Delightful days

Another two happy days with Stephanie. Off out on Friday, bus up to the west-end and a delicious lunch in M&S and then onto the Science Museum in South Kensington. Well my lovelies I hadn't been there for many a year. Oh how it has changed. We were rather taken by the ground floor but not so enamoured by the higher ones, in fact they got worse the higher we went. Ah childhood memories of flicking switches and turning handles, all gone. Herds of school children of course but we walk round unnoticed.

A minor hiatus when Stephanie loses her handbag but it is soon found, phew! Off out into the cold and a bus back to the west-end. We dive into Superdrug as Stephanie needs some new razors. Well as you can imagine it is one of life's little laughs buying male sundries whilst en femme.
After dinner we take ourselves off the Ikea at Brent Park for various items. Quite amazing we only get a couple of quizzical looks.
Today, well morning is photo time followed by lunch an a visit to Brent Cross. Of course it is much more crowded than weekdays but it doesn't stop us, oh dear me no.

Sent packing

Well that time is almost upon us. Out come the suitcases and the sorting of clothes. Yes its holiday time. It is all very well when one only has to pack for oneself but as I have to pack for him and her it all gets a bit fraught. As a bloke its simple, is it warm? Yes, well then t-shirts, shorts and trainers and he and his carrier bag are ready. Of course it now involves her as well. It's not just the amount but the difference between daytime and evening each requiring their separate outfits and one just cannot wear the same thing twice can one. Oh dear me no.
We do of course have all the little extras to include, the makeup, the hair and various other sundry items. It is not until one undertakes this sort of adventure the you realise how much room is taken up by things such as shoes. You just can't have one pair can you and the room that a handbag takes up is ridiculous. Thankfully having my time split between him and her will cut down on the outfits required and of course I do have advice close to hand, outfits she likes to see me in. Indeed it simplifies life and if she picks them then I might be able to squeeze more her time in than his. I have, needless to say, sneaked in a couple of things but as to whether they see the light of day let alone manage to escape the confines of our room is another matter.
All this presupposes that it all will fit and be within our weight allowance !

Not thirteen just one

Dear Ted,
Mr Baker why is it that I enter your concession emporium in Fenwicks Brent Cross and find a lovely frock with mark you, a matching handbag and then fail to find it on your website? This is not the first time this has occurred. Now I know that there are many places that list more on their websites than they have in their shop, I can see the reasoning, I can see the financial implications and the issues of space but why have something in a shop you cannot buy online? To the best of my knowledge, and believe me I look almost everytime I go out, these items are not old stock.
It is also a shame that you have another rather large outlet that disposes of old stock at Bicester whose stock you hide from view on your website?
yours etc, etc

Post holiday blues

Well we are returned from sunny Bournemouth, a quite enjoyable week altogether. The new car behaved itself perfectly with some stunning mpg ! Of course with the Freedom pass we hardly used the car at all whilst we were there.

Highlight of the week had to be our meal at The Amalfi totally yummy. Low point had to be the journey down there, rain, by god did it rain. torrential was the only word for it but it only lasted a short but frightening while and luckily after we had disposed of the motorway.

So many purchases too, frocks, handbags and shoes all at bargain prices !!
